How we work
Infrastructure projects are complex and challenging. At Crown Infrastructure Delivery we manage risk and improve timeliness by efficiently delivering or supporting the delivery of Crown infrastructure projects.
Many Government agencies with infrastructure needs are not in the day-to-day business of delivering large construction projects.
Rather than set up an inhouse project team for a one-off build, and dabble in the complex construction sector, those agencies can partner with us at Crown Infrastructure Delivery – a specialist infrastructure delivery agency.
Formerly known as Ōtākaro Limited, the Government company that delivered infrastructure to support the post-quake regeneration of central Christchurch, our company has been renamed and repurposed to assist Government agencies to efficiently construct major new assets.
With almost $1bn of infrastructure delivery experience, we have expert project teams and robust project management processes.
With staff in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, we are well placed to ensure the best infrastructure outcome for New Zealanders.

I think the first thing that really struck me is that we felt like clients. And that's all the way from the Chief Executive down to the coordinators. So the experience we had was really one of working in partnership together, but we were clearly the client in the relationship.

CID, in terms of the way they work and operate, right the way through to their main office and the way the Project Support Office works, is really setting a very high standard, and they're great people to work with

Working with CID has been really positive. It's been a good collaborative arrangement, and they've demonstrated their ability to deliver. I'd certainly recommend the use of them for agencies who either need support in terms of capacity, or don't have that internal capability to deliver infrastructure projects themselves.
